Make a wish

Hello Everyone,

Bec here, returning with the French Chic Pk.2 Card Artists' Packs/Mini Papers

The script paper was perfect with the Filigree oval from the Vintage Trinkets on Meg's store and the Ivory Mini Rosebuds.

I have taken apart the velvet flower ribbon to make a cluster on top of a semi circle doily
The dusky blues work well together IRL.

This sage green floral PP is so beautiful with the stamping I have added to the white card stock, the sage green organza ribbon worked perfectly to join the two.  The ivory mini rosebuds make up the centre of my bow.

Hope you like this simple elegant cards using the new French Chic collection.

Take care from

Hello my friend

Hello Everyone,

Introducing myself to the Meg's Garden blog, with my first project.

My name is Bec Jefferis, an unknown crafter from Orange, NSW, Australia.
I moved to Australia from the UK, back on the 30th of December 2010.  I have always been a card maker and was introduced to scrapbooking by the stunning Mary Bennetts 5 years ago.
Through Mary, I have met some beautiful scrappers and am delighted to call them forever friends.

When Mary suggested I ask to become part of Meg's Garden DT, I jumped at the chance.  Thank you Meg for this opportunity.

I have used the French Chic Pk.1, Card Artists' Packs/Mini Papers in my first project.

On this card, I have used a heart lace doily, some fine tulle, and a single white rose from Meg's collection.
Absolutely love this PP with a touch of everything elegant.

This sage green PP was so beautiful with these yellow centred cherry blossoms, the white nylon lace and tulle tucked under, all sat on top of a semi circle of a doily.

I wanted to leave the sage rose and white lily on the PP exposed but had a lot of white space so I used some pearl vines to fill the space.

Last but not least I used the soft pink rose PP on top of the soft pink floral pattern, with a cream organza ribbon and the small pink paper roses.

Meg's products are so versatile and easy to use in all varieties of products so I would definitely head over to the website to see what amazing wonders she has.

Thank you for taking the time to see my post.

Sisters of the Slipperhood Retreat 2017

Tell everybody we're on our way..

Me and Mary setting off for the Blue Mountains, a year later.

back left around to the back right; Cheryl, Lizzy, me, Mary & Jo
Breakfast at the Red Door cafĂ© on the Saturday morning with these stunning ladies.

Not only did we complete the same photo of the Slipperhood but we were each given a special gift from Jo.
Gorgeous, aren't they?!

Now this year I managed to complete more layouts than the year before... so here we go

Challenged by Lizzy to scrap this photo of me and Mary.
Love this layout because I love the moment we captured with this photo.

'All I want for Christmas'

Esther, 1.  We got this photo on a Christmas card in 2016 and I knew it had to be scrapped.

I have always loved this photo of Anne and Isaac when he was just a toddler, 2011, I have had it printed for so long and I wanted to use the Scrapmats chippies I purchased for this photo.

Mary, scrapped this photo of us recently and I was inspired to scrap a copy too.  I had these Bo bunny pages for a while, so this was the perfect opportunity to use them.

A Christmas layout for the upcoming event. Another photo that had to be scrapped for the memory created here.

I have started a Travellers notebook with the advice of Lizzy Hill, who is really enjoying the quick scrapping in a notebook.
I have started this with the aspect of filling it with my beautiful kitties, Jadzia and Nerys.

I had the most beautiful time at retreat, and apart from the odd card or happy mail project to my bestie, I did not achieve much in the way of craft in 2017 because I was busy in the new house and had my hands full with my baby girls.

Take care
Bec

Sisters of the Slipperhood Retreat 2016

a long time, since I have used this blog but it's about time for me to start it up again...

What better way than to update you on my craft these last two years, which I can tell you has been very lacking. 2016 was a year full of anticipation as we were planning and building a house, boxes of craft were packed ready to move for months at a time.

However come September 2016, I went away with 4 gorgeous girls to the Blue Mountains.

front row left to right, me, Lizzy, Jo, back row left to right, Cheryl, Mary

These beauties are amazing company, inspiration and soul sisters.

During our retreat we decided to catch photo of our slippers for artist effect and we came up with our name, firstly I said it was a picture of the slippers of our sisterhood and then ones of the girls said we were 'Sisters of the Slipperhood.'

Here are just a few of the pieces I worked on this weekend away,

'You are everything that is bright & beautiful in this world'
Esther during Summer 2016

Jo's challenge for a bright layout based on a mood board
I think I did quite well with the colours :)

'Come just as you are to me, I will love you unconditionally...'
Our wedding day, 01.02.15.
These are the song lyrics from the day, I walked down the aisle too, so I used an embossed music note background paper.

Mary's Challenge to use song lyrics in a layout.

 'Timeless Memories'

A selection of photos from our day.

Lizzy's challenge to use 5 photos or more on a layout.

A couple of the cards I made,

for Cheryl's challenge to make some vintage cards.

I haven't posted a blog in a long time, so I am starting to get the hang of it again for something coming soon.

Take Care
