Take time to love the little things...

Hello fellow bloggers...
I have been absent for a while and for that I apologise.  I have been working a lot recently however I have taken time for myself, over Easter, to get into my craft room and create for Megs' Garden.
It's my first time using the Shades of Green Collection, that all the other talented ladies have already showcased on Meg's blog, so here are the cards I have had the chance to play with over the Easter weekend.
With the Card Artists' Packs/Mini Papers, I have used the Blue Tits background paper in the centre of some of the layered Shades of Green background papers.
One of the dies I have purchased recently is the Branch with Flowers die, I have used this in two different shades of sage green along the edges of this card. Placing a single French White Open Rose in the corner on some white satin ribbon on a bed of white tulle. Here are some close ups...

My second card, uses the pale roses background paper from the Shades of Green Collection.  With a heart doily and heart die, from the Hearts - Nestled Stitched Dies, I have lined the right hand side trying to show as much of the background paper.  I have used the branch with flowers die again, however I have cut the die into three pieces shoot out of the Filigree metal flower embellishment that I have centred with white mini rose buds
I also purchased a variety of gorgeous coloured enamel dots.  So with the perfect colour matching enamel dots I have highlighted the corner of the background paper. Here are some close ups...

On my final card of this blog post... I have used the time piece background paper from the collection. Using another beautiful die called Tender Greens, I have created a bed for a single French White Open Rose along with little leaves from the Branch with Flowers die, some basic sewing thread and a little "Take time to love the little things" sentiment card from the poetry cut and create ephemera sheets.  I have used a touch of lace around the edge to the flower for an element of something different.
Once again I have highlighted the corner with some pale mint green enamel dots. Here are some close ups...

I hope you love what you see and it has inspired you to create form these absolutely stunning product from Meg's Garden website.  Below is a couple of cuts outs of the Branch with Flowers die...

#Besties

Happy weekend everyone.

Popping by today to enter the Scrap the Boys,
April Scrapbooking Challenge of
"Let's go Geo!"

Using any geometric shape in your layout.

I chose the Star!!!!
I also went monochrome because the geo theme sings to me black and white.

I have stencilled, stamped and punched stars for this layout.  I have a few chippie stars too.

I have used black thread, paint splatter, washi and enamel dots to add some softness to the stars, with a risk of the layout looking to harsh.

#Besties title for those gorgeous nephews of mine.

I hope you get the chance to hop over to Scrap the Boys for this challenge or even the new card making challenge that has gone up today for April.

The card making challenge is a sketch and theme of Black and White with one colour.

I hope you've enjoyed my layout today

Have a wonderful week ahead.

Project Life Card Flip Book

Hello Everyone...
I am here today to show you a flip book I created with project life cards.  I have made this for my best friend, it's her  birthday in the UK, so I hope it has arrived by the time this goes up.  Using 3 large PL cards I have made a small birthday flip book, including letter...

The front page using the B+W PL card with Hello Lovely was a simple way to start the book, I have used glitter washi to bind the book and embellished the front with heart punches and some enamel dots.

When you turn the first page you see a birthday message and a sentiment on the left hand side.

Turning the right side, in the middle is a pocket for my letter and a letter PL card with the things I love the most.

On the right side I have a lined PL card on which I have written things I remember from our past, because it would have to be 10 years since I have seen this beautiful girl and a lot has changed since then. I blanked this for the privacy of our friendship.  I will get to see Sophie-Charlotte late this year so that's why I am sharing things I now love and things I remember about her.

I hope you like what you see and get the chance to look through the rest of my blog.

A lady who is always "Loving Life"

Hello Everyone...

Back again with another creation for a Birthday girl... I have made a flip book with added extras.

The flip book first page is more of a title page for the soul sister I was sending it too because it describes her every ounce.  "Loving Life"

When you turn the first page I have made some stamped sentiments and a sparkle pack for her to use in her own work...

The second page has a birthday message and letter pocket for my detailed letter.

When you turn to the third page I have created a pocket page for collectables that I know she would love and use on her gorgeous layouts of her grandsons.

On the last page I have made a doily envelope to hold some paper I find dear to my heart, I have only spared some because I know she'll see the beauty in this old wrapping paper that I have kept for years.  I have placed some tags for her to use on her "Week in the Life of..."

On the back page the quote says it all...
Not only about this Sister of the Slipperhood but about us all.

Gotta love A.A. Milne!!!

Sending you all my Love

Happy Mail

Hello everyone

Bec here, with some happy mail for a friend.

I used Meg's Garden Shabby Chic Background Papers range with the candy stripe pink paper and the pastel pink polka dot paper.

I made a flip book with little envelopes and because I filled the envelopes too much, could only close it in half not completely.
So I used a Hello sticker on front and Dear Jo on what would have been the back page.

I used the cut and create ephemera above Dear Jo and it was perfect to fill the blank page.

I used a Velcro dot to seal the envelope

Inside...

(left to right)

I have used Meg's heart doily and some leftover from the A4 paper to create this little brad flower.  In this pocket envelope I put the little note.

On the second pocket envelope I have made a little selection of collectables from my stash.  I have put Life is better with Friends sticker on this pocket because we don't often get together as the group of friends but when we do, Life certainly feels better.
I have used a tiny satin ribbon from Meg's goodies.

The third envelope pocket is full of chippies,(and probably the reason I couldn't completely fold this flipbook up to it's smallest size). The lace on the pocket is the Lace Flowers 18mm from Meg's Garden lace range.

In the last envelope pocket I have made a washi sampler for my friend, hopefully she likes to bright colours.

I have created a tiny video to show you the end result in person follow the link to my instagram to see the video.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by today, I look forward to showing you more of my creations with Meg's Garden products.

You really must pop to her website to see all the gorgeous new items she has, there is literally something for everyone!

Take Care
All the Best
